Cherokee Nation Family Assistance offers a variety of services and continues to develop and expand programs that provide critical services to families, elders and veterans that promote family unity and self-sufficiency. Programs include LIHEAP, food distribution, burial assistance, child support services, veteran services, elder services and more.
The Burial Assistance program assists with the financial hardship associated with traditional funeral costs.
Elder Services encourages our tribal citizens to be self-sufficient and offers help with basic needs.
The Emergency Housing program provides one-time assistance to ensure that families remain save and self-sufficient.
The Food Distribution Program provides a well-balanced food package for participating household members.
The General Assistance program provides financial assistance to eligible families in order to meet basic needs.
LIHEAP provides assistance to households with home heating, cooling, and crisis intervention.
The Tribal Emergency Assistance program assists families with immediate basic needs that may not be covered by other programs.
