Task Force Reports

At the direction of the Principal Chief, Task Forces are often assembled with specific objectives and goals.

Although the Task Force is an internal executive branch working group and not a separate "public body" under Cherokee law, any reports issued shall be made available to the public.

Autism Task Force

This group of health professionals actively reviews existing services and resources to enhance the tribe's autism initiatives.

Child Care Task Force

Chief Hoskin expanded the Verna Thompson Early Childhood Act doubling Head Start funding and tasking a reconvened team to examine childcare gaps and operations.

Criminal Law Reform and Planning Task Force

Established by Executive Order 2023-05-CTH to evaluate the Cherokee Nation’s criminal justice system.

Data Sovereignty and Governance Task Force

Established by Executive Order 2024-07-CTH to evaluate emerging technologies and strengthen the Cherokee Nation’s cybersecurity.

Equality Task Force

This group of health professionals actively reviews existing services and resources to enhance the tribe's equality initiatives.

Rare Disease Task Force

Exec. Order Establishing the Task Force on the Cherokee Nation Rare Disease Initiative.

Registration Code and Process Reform Task Force

Established by Executive Order 2024-08-CTH to examine the Cherokee Nation citizenship process and photo ID technology.
