Cherokee Nation W.W. Keeler Tribal Complex, health centers and satellite offices will be closed Monday Jan. 20, 2025.W.W. Hastings Hospital emergency services, the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service and Cherokee Nation EMS will still be operational.
The Summer Youth Employment Program provides youth ages 16-24 with work experience in order to prepare them for the working world. To qualify, participants must be a citizen of a federally recognized tribe and reside within the tribe's 14-county jurisdiction. For the federal program, youth aged 16-24 must be low income using the Federal Poverty Guidelines and possess one of the following barriers to employment: 1) deficient in basic literacy skills; 2) school dropout; 3) homeless, runaway, or foster child; 4) pregnant or parenting; 5) offender; or 6) is an individual (including a youth with a disability) who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure and hold employment.
