What We Offer

The “Families Are Sacred Summit” is a no cost event by the Cherokee Nation and area partners that will offer three days of keynote addresses from local, regional, and national speakers addressing the many avenues of Domestic Violence and what we can do to stop it. In addition, we will offer 8 tracks of professional development breakout sessions. Each session will be conducted by certified trainers and worth CEU’s, CLE’s, CLEET, and CME’s when available. 

The tracks are as follows:

  • Legal: Prosecutors & Courtroom
  • Law Enforcement
  • SANE Nurses & Health Employees
  • Behavioral Health
  • Domestic Violence Advocates
  • Social Workers
  • Volunteers
  • Native American Culture

  

In addition to great education and powerful messages there will be networking and connection opportunities during meals and after hours for all participants.

This is a can’t miss opportunity provided by the Cherokee Nation to bring tribal nations together for collaboration, education and planning for safer reservations in Indian Country.
