The Coming Home Programs assist Cherokee Citizens who are justice involved or have been released from incarceration. The programs are designed to help participants overcome barriers created by their justice involvement so they may successfully reintegrate after incarceration and promote healthy positive interactions with family and communities. Reentry justice involved services are on a case-by-case basis and can include, but are not limited to, the following; assistance with ID attainment, counseling, health care, behavioral health, clothing, hygiene, housing, driver’s license reinstatement, vocational training and other relevant services.
The Coming Home Reentry and Justice Involved Program operates within the Career Services Group of Cherokee Nation, allowing for easy referral and access to other employment and training programs.
