Some basic rules of the chat:

- Be polite. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
- Do not use all caps. It's considered shouting.
- Do not use obscenities.
- Do not use abusive, hateful or otherwise offensive language.
- No swearing, no spamming, no stalking
Cherokee Nation and the moderators of the chat rooms assume no responsibility, legal or otherwise, for the content of the conversations within. However, we do have sole discretion to ban any user or conversation deemed inappropriate by Cherokee Nation. It is a violation of copyright law to utilize content posted to the chat room, slides or any other manner, without the express permission of the Cherokee Nation, or the original author of the message.
Cherokee Nation reserves the right to ban any user who fails to observe the terms of this policy, and these terms shall terminate immediately without notice from Cherokee Nation.
We caution you against giving out personally identifiable information (such as social security numbers, credit card numbers, names and addresses, driver license numbers) to strangers online, which may be used for illegal or harmful purposes.
